BY ENGAGING THE SERVICES OF THE DESIGNER HIRE, YOU IMMEDIATELY AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

BOOKINGS

Bookings shall be considered provisional until full payment has been remitted via our website. Enquiries and try-on appointments do not guarantee reservation of the garment for your specified date. Garments shall not be dispatched or made available for collection until payment has been received.

CANCELLATIONS

All payments rendered to The Designer Hire are deemed final and non-refundable, except in cases where The Designer Hire deems it necessary to cancel the booking due to unforeseen circumstances. Refunds shall not be issued once payment has been processed as the garment will have been rendered unavailable for other prospective clients. Full store credits shall be issued for bookings canceled at least 7 days prior to the commencement of the booking date. Store credits shall not be extended for instances of buyer's remorse or sizing discrepancies. Clients may schedule try-ons prior to booking to ensure satisfaction with the garment. Store credits may be provided for delays attributed to Australia Post, with the postage cost excluded from reimbursement. No refunds shall be granted for the hire fee in such instances, as the garment will have been reserved and rendered unavailable.

TRY-ONS

Try-on appointments are facilitated at our premises in Woolloongabba, Brisbane, located 10 minutes from Brisbane CBD. Try-ons are exclusively available for The Designer Hire garments. Failure to recognise this condition renders the try-on fee non-refundable, as the appointment slot would have been reserved, thereby preventing other clients from booking. Refunds or rescheduling options shall not be entertained if no specific garments are specified in the booking notes. The Designer Hire also offers interstate postal try-ons upon request. Booking a try-on appointment does not guarantee availability of the desired garment in our stock room. Clients are encouraged to approach try-on appointments with flexibility, considering the range of items in stock.

The $20 try-on fee shall be credited toward the rental fee if the garment is booked within 24 hours of the try-on appointment. Failure to proceed with a booking renders this fee non-refundable and non-transferrable to another try-on session or hire. Damages or marks incurred during the try-on session shall incur dry cleaning or repair charges. Clients are advised to arrive punctually for their appointment to avoid deductions from their allotted try-on time. Rescheduling requests must be communicated within 24 hours to facilitate a new booking.

The Designer Hire recommends that interstate clients visit local retailers such as David Jones or Myer to try on garments or consult the brand's size guide prior to booking.

COLLECTION AND RETURNS

Pick-up bookings must be collected on the scheduled date. Clients must contact The Designer Hire via text, email, or Instagram DM to arrange a pick-up time and receive the pick-up address, which is not disclosed online for security reasons. Pick-up bookings are expected to be returned on the final day of the hire period. Posted hires must be lodged at an Australia Post office by 2 pm on the last day of the hire period and returned directly to an Australia Post staff member. Postal returns are prohibited from being deposited in an Australia Post street box.

GARMENT CARE

Clients are expected to handle garments with care, especially in the presence of fake tan, makeup, perfume, food, and beverages. No alterations, such as pinning or hemming, are permitted. Clients are not authorized to wash or dry clean the garment themselves, as The Designer Hire undertakes all cleaning responsibilities, employing a meticulous hand-washing process for each garment. Clients shall be held liable for any additional costs incurred due to poor or damaged garment condition, including repair or cleaning fees. Garments returned with excessive staining or odors necessitating specialized cleaning shall incur additional charges, the severity of which shall determine the fee. Instances of irreparable damage may result in the client being charged the full Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of the garment. Clients consent to being charged for any loss of income resulting from damages affecting future hires. In cases where a perfect restoration is unattainable but the garment remains in a reasonable condition for continued hire, clients may be required to compensate for damages by paying a portion of the RRP. A late fee of $20 shall be imposed for each day the garment remains unreturned past its due date.

AMENDMENTS AND NOTIFICATIONS

The Designer Hire reserves the right to modify the Terms & Conditions at its discretion and without prior notice to clients.
